One of our most recent projects was to re-design a website for O’Hara’s of Foxford, based in Foxford, Co. Mayo. We were really excited about this project as not only are O’Hara’s a local company but they operate on such a huge scale that we were delighted they chose us to help them with their re-design! O’Hara’s Bakery are well known throughout Ireland, having begun their journey in 1951 after Michael and Maureen O’Hara had a big win at the sweepstakes and decided to invest their earnings in the development of a small local bakery. Following re-investments and expansions over the years, O’Hara’s Bakery have since established themselves as one of Ireland’s leading cake producers. However they have remained true to their roots and continue to operate from Foxford and support local projects and providers at every opportunity.
The brief for the project was to re-design their website to make it look more modern and illustrate the history behind the company. We did this through clever use of colour, timeline effects and simple navigation and we were delighted with the end result, as were the client. The website is easy to use and all products are clearly categorised with all the relevant nutritional and general information. A beautiful timeline accompanied by imagery illustrates the history of O’Hara’s Bakery from its humble beginnings in 1951 to the present day.
